NIGERIAN DIFFERENT COLOURS

YORUBA: The Yoruba of the western Nigeria. Yoruba are known for their love of ceremonies, child naming, wedding, chieftaincy titles, and celebration of life at death. The major musical instrument of Yoruba is sets o drum for various festivals and purposes. The TALKING DRUM is the most popular of the Yoruba drum. Bata drums for Sango the God of Thunder. Dundun Ensemble is for social celebration. Agogo is very prominent in Yoruba musical instrumental because of the complex rhythm allocated to this instrument.

IGBO: The Igbo of the Eastern Nigeria. The Igbo are known for their love, care and business guru. The embraced the western religion brought by the Missionary. The native law and custom enforced by them with regard to marriage and land right rights among other things. The influenced of the western religion helped this group of people to appreciate music and have many musical instruments such as Udu, Xylophone and Akan

HAUSA: The Hausa consist of the people of the Northern Nigeria and adjacent areas of the Niger. The tribes of the Northern Nigerian are the Fulami and Kanuri people. The name Husa refferd only to the language of the Habe people of this area who were organized into 7 independent but closely related states called Biram, Daura, Kano, Katsina, Gobir, Rano and zazzau or Zaria. The Hausa of the Northern Nigeria, Large portions of food the Hausa prepare consist of grains such as sorghum, millet, rice or Maize.
